Hand and Upper Extremity
Fellowship
Length of program: 1 year
Number of positions: 3
The program includes comprehensive training in shoulder, elbow and hand
surgery. Fellows rotate with four full-time upper extremity surgeons.
Rotations include outpatient and inpatient surgery, a minimum of one day in
the clinic and a minimum of one half-day per week performing clinical or
basic science research. Patient population includes adults and children.
Surgical practice includes arthroscopy, nerve decompression, microsurgery,
tendon repair and reconstruction, joint releases and shoulder, elbow, wrist
and hand arthroplasty.

2007-2008 Fellows
Peter Kelleher, M.D.
Peter began his schooling at Lafayette College, where he
obtained his undergraduate degree. He continued to Jefferson Medical
College for medical school. He completed his residency at the
University of Vermont. In his free time, Peter enjoys backcountry
skiing, cycling, running, traveling and burritos.
Walter Song, M.D.
Walter left his hometown of Columbia, Maryland to obtain his
undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. He then went to
New York Medical College for his medical school and completed his residency
at the University of Connecticut. Currently, he and his wife are
expecting their first child. He enjoys golfing, playing basketball and
cooking.
George Zanaros, M.D.
After leaving Saratoga Springs, NY, George went to Cornell
University for his undergraduate degree. He continued to Albany
Medical College for medical school as well as his residency. He is
currently married with no children. George's hobbies include skiing,
eating sushi, playing Texas Hold'em, traveling to Greece and being a huge
Yankees fan.
