Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program The five-year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program is an accredited program designed to prepare the resident for practice and consultation in orthopaedic surgery and the option of subspecialty training. The full-time faculty in the department is composed of 23 active orthopaedic surgeons; two fellowship-trained physiatrists completes the faculty. The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program offers a PGY-1 component to its educational program. This year allows residents to acquire many of the skills necessary to effectively complete the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
